“African Mosaic, A Journey into Spiritual Landscapes and Sacred Traditions” explores a mosaic of ceremonies and rituals in four African countries, capturing significant moments of spirituality and cultural importance. The project offers a glimpse into unique ceremonies, scarification practices, and the symbolism behind ceremonial masks. With frames capturing initiation ceremonies and itinerant performers with ancient magic traditions, this visual journey captures some sacred traditions, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in the richness and diversity of Africa’s cultural heritage. Photographies were taken in some of the most inaccessible corners of Mali, Nigeria, Benin, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo throughout 2023.
