You feel in peace in a country in conflict. You feel powerful in a place not many people have reached but you are less than fragile in an environment you cannot control.
You feel lucky to witness the daily life of nomadic groups while they are struggling to survive. It is contradictory. It is unique It is magical. It is harsh, very harsh but it has a magnetism that makes me want to go back… this is the Wakhan in Afghanistan
